Arsenal are considering a bid for Paris Saint-Germain forward, Ezequiel Lavezzi, who has previously been linked with Liverpool.

The Argentine forward, who can play as a lone-striker and also a winger, has been linked with a move away from France this Summer, with Liverpool, Juventus and now Arsenal interested in signing the 29-year-old.

Lavezzi has been in talks with PSG regarding his future for a while now, and despite a contract extension being put on the table, the Argentinian is yet to accept a new deal and could be sold this Summer so that the club could make some money on him.

His current contract expires in 2016, and it’s believed that he is refusing to sign a new deal due to the length of contract being offered to him, and with Olivier Giroud being ruled out for four months with a serious leg injury, Arsenal may make a swoop for the forward.

Liverpool were thought to be in pole position to sign Lavezzi, but after they secured Mario Balotelli from AC Milan, their interest in the forward cooled off.

Despite Giroud’s injury, Arsene Wenger is still unsure on whether he will sign a striker, but Lavezzi is thought to be one of the players on his mind.
