With Arsenal lacking a powerful player in the middle of the park, it is believed that they will look to add some power this summer. One player which seems to be wanted to fill that void is Sami Khedira.
It is believed that Arsenal have leap-frogged Chelsea and Manchester United in the race for the German international.
It seems likely that Khedira will leave this summer, with Real Madrid being linked with a number of midfield players including Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal.
He has recently returned from a long term injury but has been a regular in Germany’s World Cup team this summer. Arsene Wenger will be hoping that fellow German, Mesut Ozil, will help persuade Khedira to make the move to the Emirates.
It is believed that Arsenal are preparing a £23million bid for the German.
