Arsenal’s players have welcomed new signing Danny Welbeck on social media, reports the Daily Express.

Welbeck joined the Gunners in a £16 million transfer fee from Manchester United late last night, with Arsene Wenger finally signing the England international, after hours of negotiations.

The Welbeck transfer comes after Manchester United themselves had secured a loan deal for Colombian striker Radamel Falcao from French side AS Monaco, leaving Welbeck free to leave Old Trafford for pastures new.

And now, some of Arsenal’s key players have welcomed the new recruit on social media site, Twitter.

Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott, Mikel Arteta and Kieran Gibbs all hailed the signing of the 24 year old.

“Welcome to Arsenal Danny! #welcomewelbeck #COYG,” Walcott tweeted from his account.

“Very happy to welcome #DannyWelbeck to Arsenal! He will fit very well in our style. Lets go for it now #Gunners !!” Arteta added.

“I’m glad to welcome you, Danny! wish you as much goals as possible! #WelcomeWelbeck #NewStriker #No23 #COYG” Ozil then ‘tweeted’.

And Gibbs finally stated: “#WelcomeWelbeck #GoonerFamily”

Danny’s clearly made some new mates already!
