Reports claim Arsenal officials have been monitoring midfielder throughout season

Arsenal have scouted Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka an astonishing 30 times this season, according to reports.

The Swiss international has been heavily linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium in recent weeks, with some reports claiming Arsene Wenger has met with his family to discuss a move to Arsenal.

The Gunners are ready to activate his release clause, which stands at around £35million, and could offer the midfielder a contract worth £120k-a-week.

Deal To Happen?

Reports in Germany are adamant that it’s a likely deal to take place this summer, and according to the latest claims, Arsenal have been on Xhaka‘s tail for some time now.

It’s believed Arsenal scouts have watched him play live around 30 times this season, and are ready to sign him this summer.

Xhaka will arrive at the club as midfield-trio Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky and Mathieu Flamini all leave with their contracts expiring in a few months time.
