Gunners reluctant to meet Valencia’s price tag

Arsenal’s deal to land Valencia’s Shkodran Mustafi has hit trouble, with the Gunners reluctant to meet the £30million price tag for the centre-back.

Arsenal are prepared to pay around £20million, but the La Liga outfit are refusing to budge on their £30million valuation.

But, as well as the haggling over a fee, there has been confusion over the agents involved in the deal leading to further delays in the move.

Mustafi’s central defensive parter at Valencia, Aymen Abdennour has been offered to Arsenal, but Arsene Wenger is adamant he wants the German.

West Brom defender Jonny Evans is also a target for Wenger if a move for Mustafi fails.
