AS Roma are interested in signing Liverpool centre-back Mamadou Sakho, according to reports.
The French defender joined Anfield from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth £18million, but in recent times he hasn’t been a first-team regular, with former-manager Brendan Rodgers opting for Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovren as his partnership.
However, with Rodgers out the door and Jurgen Klopp now appointed, Sakho‘s game-time could increase.
If it doesn’t however, Klopp does have interested parties who he could sell the centre-back to, with Roma increasingly keen on the 25-year-old.
The Serie A side were dealt a huge blow in their quest for Sakho however when he signed a new long-term contract in Merseyside, ending speculation about his future.
Sakho is expected to hold talks with Klopp regarding his game-time and his future, with Roma waiting eagerly in the wings.
