Ashley Cole is facing disciplinary action from Chelsea and also the Football Association after his offensive tweet he made relating to John Terry’s court hearing.

The England and Chelsea left back, tweeted about the FA and also called them ‘A bunch of t***s’. He made this statement after he was accused of adapting his statement to try and defend team-mate, John Terry.

It is expected that Cole will be punished by the FA and after Chelsea’s 4-1 win over Norwich, Roberto Di Matteo, confirmed that the club will take action on the full-back.

The Italian said: ‘We’ve got a social media policy at the club and there’s going to be a disciplinary process – action – against the tweet and that’s how I’ll leave it.’

There is nothing official as of yet but it is expected to be a two-week fine for the England international which could cost him up to £200,000.

Both Ashley Cole and John Terry played in Chelsea’s 4-1 win over Norwich to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League and it saw them continue their unbeatean start to the campaign.
