Atletico Madrid are keen on adding Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi to their squad this January, but may face competition from Chelsea.
Atletico are in the market for a foil to main striker Mario Mandzukic in an attempt to share the goalscoring burden, with a price of £20 million thought to be on the Argentine’s head.
Inter boss Roberto Mancini may be willing to listen to offers for Icardi, as he looks to find funds to rebuild his team. With Chelsea also linked, it could work in Inter’s favour should a bidding war strike out.
Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the youngester, and a move away from the San Siro would suit all parties should it take place this January.
