The player’s agent will fly to Spain to hear the full offer

Atletico Madrid are preparing a bid for Juan Cuadrado.

The winger has struggled to make much of an impact at Stamford Bridge since his move from Fiorentina and he could be set to leave the club already, despite only joining the Blues at the beginning of February.

Madrid to offer £17.8m

Madrid are keen to sign the Colombian and are willing to pay around £17.8m for his services. The player’s agent is believed to be flying out to Spain to hear the offer in full and to see if the 27-year old should make the move to La Liga.

Cuadrado featured just 12 times in the Premier League last term and even though Jose Mourinho has previously stated he wanted to keep hold of the winger, he could end up letting him leave if Madrid make this bid official.

During his time in Italy for Fiorentina – and at the World Cup for Colombia – he proved to be a sensation and his impressive dribbling and performances on the whole led Mourinho to dish out £26m to sign him last winter.

He has yet to make the same impact in England and it could lead to him making this move to Spain while the offer is there.
