The Catalan club have joined Arsenal in the pursuit of the highly rated Inter star.
The 20 year-old has been in impressive form for the Milan side this season, having scored five goals from 25 appearances in midfield, Arsene Wenger was reported to be keen to bring him to the Premier League.
The Croat is now reportedly being chased by European giants Barcelona after club director Ariedo Braida was spotted at the San Siro, according to Italian reports.
The news will come as a big blow to Arsenal, who already would’ve seen the transfer as risky given the £29m asking price Inter put forward.
