Manchester United and Chelsea target Marquinhos has reportedly been approached by Spanish giants Barcelona for a fee of £34m

though joining the French side back in 2013, the Brazilian centre back has failed to establish himself fully in the first team squad, prompting many European teams to begin sniffing around for the star.

Marquinhos is competing for a place in the PSG lineup with Brazilian counterparts David Luiz and Thiago Silva, hence seeing him down the pecking order considerably- the player voiced his concerns over his lack of first team football.

He  was quoted saying: “Like everyone else, I always want to be a part of the starting line-up. But we all must respect the choices of the coach and management.

“I will continue to work to get my place. But it’s true there will come a moment where I am older – you cannot just get used to sitting on the bench.”

According to French source Le10Sport, Marquinhos has his ‘heart set on joining Barcelona’, which will disappoint Premier League big-boys Chelsea and Manchester United.
