La Liga giants to make summer bid for Chelsea striker

Chelsea could be seeking a quick profit on Alexandre Pato this summer, with La Liga giants FC Barcelona keen on signing him.

The Brazilian striker is currently on-loan at Stamford Bridge after joining in January from Corinthians, but in the contract, they have a chance to make it a permanent deal in the summer.

The two teams agreed that if Chelsea paid £9.2million in the summer, they can sign him on a permanent basis.

Pato is yet to kick a ball for the Premier League side as he’s not considered match-fit yet, but that hasn’t stopped Barca from showing shock interest in him.

Barca Showing Interest in Pato

According to reports in Spain, the Catalan club want to find a suitable back-up option for Luis Suarez as the main striker, and club officials think Pato would fit the bill.

If Chelsea were to sign him permanently for £9.2m, they could then make a quick profit by selling him on to the Spanish giants.

Barca were initially after Celta Vigo‘s Nolito, but after failing to land him, they’ve turned their attentions elsewhere, and Pato is believed to be a realistic target.
