Bayer Leverkusen says there is no chance the in-demand Germany international Lars Bender will be sold this summer.
The 24-year-old midfielder has reportedly been the subject of a failed bid around £20 million from Arsenal.
Leverkusen will not even consider selling their talented midfielder even for a greatly improved offer as he is “not for sale at any price”.
A spokesperson said: “It’s absolutely normal that there has been interest in him because he is a top-level player who is improving, but he has a contract until 2017 and he is absolutely happy to stay at Leverkusen.”
The former 1860 Munich midfielder joined Leverkusen in 2009 and has really taken place with 100 appearances for the club.
