Out-of-favour Liverpool forward Fabio Borini is understood to have three clubs chasing after his signature before the window closes.

The Italian striker spent the whole of last-season on loan at Sunderland, where he endured a successful season and became a fans favourite at the Stadium Of Light.

It was fully expected that Borini would return to Sunderland for this season, especially after an £14m offer from Sunderland in hope of fully signing the player at the beginning of the window.

However, this has appeared to be not the case, with Borini holding out for a move to Italy and AC Milan.

With Milan ready to snatch the player from Sunderland, QPR have also emerged as potential suitors, with QPR boss Harry Redknapp admitting that he would take up the chance of having the striker on loan.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers said: “I think Fabio’s situation is clear. For him, it’s best to move on and get playing regularly.”
