Striker verbally agrees to join Blues

Alexandre Pato has verbally agreed to join Chelsea, according to reports.

The Corinthians striker has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League over recent weeks, with Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool both linked with signing him, but according to reports in Brazil, Pato has agreed to a Chelsea switch.

ESPN Brazil have stated that the former-AC Milan star has agreed to join Chelsea and will now fly over to England in order to finalise the switch.

Transfer Costs

The 26-year-old will cost Chelsea around £10million and will be earning roughly £34k-a-week, which is considerably less than what he was offered by a Chinese club.

Pato snubbed an offer from China however as he wanted to experience the Premier League.

The striker will have to be registered by Friday in order to be in contention for the Arsenal game on Sunday.
