Striker has ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

AFC Bournemouth have confirmed that star-striker Callum Wilson will miss at least six months after rupturing cruciate ligaments in his right knee.

Wilson was carried off early on during Bournemouth‘s match against Stoke City over the weekend, and will now begin rehab to recover from the injury.

After hearing about the news, Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe spoke to the club’s official website and revealed his pain at the latest injury blow.

Big Blow for Bournemouth

”It’s very disappointing for Callum, after what has been an exceptional start to the season, but I am sure he will come back fitter and stronger,” Howe told afcb.co.uk.
“Callum is the type of character who won’t be fazed by such a setback, and I am sure he will turn this experience into a positive in the long run.
“As I have said many times before though, this kind of setback offers others the opportunity to step up to the plate, show everybody what they can do and make a real impact at this level.”
Wilson scored five goals in his opening seven Premier League matches, including a hat-trick against West Ham United.
