Manchester City will pay £49million

Manchester City have agreed a fee with Liverpool for winger Raheem Sterling.

The Citizens have been interested in the England international all summer and it’s just broken that a fee between the two clubs has finally been agreed.

City will pay Liverpool £49million for the 20-year-old, making him one of the most expensive British transfers ever.

Sterling refused to go on Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia, which set off today, and after several talks, Brendan Rodgers finally agreed to excluding him from the trip.

Transfer to City

After that news broke, City and Liverpool begun formal talks once again and it’s now been agreed that a £49m transfer fee will be paid.

The 20-year-old will now have a medical in Manchester and will discuss personal terms with the club in the next few days.

Early indications are that the winger will sign a long-term deal worth £200k-a-week.
