FC Porto striker Jackson Martinez has chosen to move to Italian side AC Milan, according to the Portuguese club’s president.
The Colombian international has been strongly linked with a Summer switch to the Premier League, with both Arsenal and Liverpool interested.
However, it’s just broken that the striker has chosen to join AC Milan in the Serie A.
Porto‘s president, Pinto da Costa, has confirmed in an interview that the striker has made his decision surrounding his future.
“Before going on vacation, Jackson announced he wanted to leave,” Da Costa told Porto Canal.
“The €35m clause is not up for debate and must be paid. I learned just now that Jackson has chosen Milan.
“This is what he wants, the destination is irrelevant as far as I am concerned. I want him to be happy.”
Arsenal and Liverpool will both turn their attentions elsewhere after the latest setback.
