Leicester City deal collapses

Chelsea striker Loic Remy will not be joining Leicester City today, according to Sky Sports News.

The Frenchman has been strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge after struggling for game-time under both Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink this season.

Remy has been second-string to Diego Costa and has been desperate to leave the club in order to play regular first-team football ahead of the European Championships.

The striker has been linked with Leicester and also the likes of Newcastle United and Swansea City, but it was the Foxes who were believe to be in pole position.

Broken Down

However, as of today, Chelsea wanted to sell permanently today, while Remy himself only wanted a loan deal.

It’s believed Remy wanted a loan deal because he wanted to be at the club over the summer in order to try and impress the new coach coming in.
