City and Liverpool once again in talks over star’s future

Manchester City and Liverpool are in formal negotiations regarding the future of Raheem Sterling, according to Sky Sports News.

The England international has missed the past two days of training at Melwood, claiming to be ill, but made a return for today’s session.

Sterling Refusing to go on Tour

However, Sterling is adamant that he won’t be going on the pre-season tour, which begins on Sunday, and he has told Brendan Rodgers on two occasions now that he doesn’t want to go.

The Reds are touring the Far East and Australia and leave England on Sunday.

City’s Pursuit

City have already had two formal bids turned down for the winger, with the first being worth £25million and the second being worth £35m.

Rodgers is still wanting £50m for the 20-year-old, and it’s reported that City may launch a third and final bid over the next few days.

Sky Sports News have just broken that City and Liverpool officials are once again in talks regarding the player’s future.
