Spaniard looks set to join Chelsea

Manchester United have withdrawn their interest in FC Barcelona star Pedro, with Spanish reports claiming he’s in London for a Chelsea medical.

The winger has been expected to leave the Nou Camp for the past few months, despite signing a contract extension in June, and it was believed he’d join United.

United Drop Interest

However, after refusing to activate the £22million release clause in his contract, The Red Devils have now seemingly cooled their interest in the 28-year-old and have turned their attentions elsewhere.

Ed Woodward flew over to Spain in order to hold talks with Barcelona, but after the La Liga giants refused to accept any offers below the asking price, United dropped their interest.

Now according to reports in Spain, Pedro has flown to London in order to complete a medical at Chelsea, who are prepared to pay the £22m release clause.

The news will come as a massive blow to United, who have also missed out on Nicolas Otamendi, who is set to join Manchester City, according to reports.
