Former-Liverpool manager enters formal talks with Qatar club

Brendan Rodgers has begun formal talks with Qatar side Al Sadd, according to reports.

The Northern Irishman has been out of work since losing his job with Premier League outfit Liverpool earlier this season, but now it’s been revealed that he’s holding formal talks with the overseas club.

Rodgers Future

Rodgers was linked with taking over at Aston Villa, Queens Park Rangers and even Chelsea, but it seems like his next venture could be in Qatar.

According to the reports, Al Sadd are preparing a contract for Rodgers worth an astonishing £3.5m-a-year, which can be claimed tax free.

If Rodgers does take the job, he would link up with former-FC Barcelona star Xavi, who is currently the club’s captain.
