The 24-year-old is currently recovering from a knee injury he incurred while on loan at West Ham, who Arsenal shared a 3-3 draw with yesterday afternoon.
Amid being sent back to North London by The Hammers due to unsatisfactory performances, rumours have developed suggesting the Englishman will be offloaded away from The Emirates on a permanent deal.
However, Arsene Wenger has dismissed any doubt over the right-back’s future at Arsenal, and believes Jenkinson will be challenging Hector Bellerin for a starting place in the back line next season.
“He has gained a lot of confidence” the Arsenal manager said
“I see his future as being a contender for this [right-back] position at our club”
