Manchester United have reportedly become the front runners to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani.
United have apparently opened up talks with Cavani about a move to Old Trafford in this summer’s transfer window.
The Uruguay international may cost the Red Devils big money, as PSG want to make back the £55 million they paid to bring him in from Napoli.
Cavani may also demand high wages, perhaps something similar to Wayne Rooney’s £300,000-a-week deal.
However, money isn’t a problem for Louis van Gaal, who is keen to replace loan flop Radamel Falcao.
The 28-year old Cavani had a touchline altercation with PSG boss Laurent Blanc, which has sparked interest from Arsenal and Liverpool as well as Manchester United.
