Chelsea’s academy graduate, Charlie Colkett, has agreed to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge by a further three-years, the club have announced.
Midfielder Colkett, helped the west Londoners’ youth side retain the UEFA Youth League, as they overcame Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in Nyon, Switzerland.
He has captained the youngsters throughout their league campaign of this season, and was recently rewarded with a call-up to the senior squad, where the 19-year-old was an un-used substitute in the Blues’ recent defeat to Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
Having signed his new contract, Colkett is now aiming for first-team ambitions in the years to come.
Speaking about penning a long-term deal at Chelsea, Colkett said:”It’s a very proud day for me and my family to sign again for Chelsea.
“It’s been great since I’ve been here and hopefully I can continue to kick on and achieve even more.”
