Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal with Internacional to sign midfielder Charles Aranguiz.
The centre-midfielder, who was part of Chile‘s Copa America winning team, has been strongly linked with a move to Europe over the past 12-months, with Marseille interested in signing him.
However, according to reports in France, Chelsea have agreed a deal with Internacional and will sign Aranguiz later this summer.
The 26-year-old, who has made 36 appearances for his national side, is valued at around £16million by the Brazilian team, but it’s not understood whether that is the fee the two clubs have agreed on.
Jose Mourinho admitted he was in the market for a new midfielder, and it looks like Aranguiz could be his man.
Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas are still seemingly Chelsea’s first-choices in the centre of the park, but with Jon Obi Mikel leaving the club, there is room for one more holding midfielder.
