Branislav Ivanovic has agreed to a one-year extension at Chelsea Football Club, according to reports.
The Serbian was set to be made a free agent this year, with his contract expiring in June, but the club have acted on that and have now issued him a one-year extension, which he has reportedly signed.
Due to his age and the club policy, Ivanovic can only be offered one-year extensions at a time, but after a recent run of poor form, it was speculated that this would be his last season at Stamford Bridge.
However, it seems like that is not the case with the right-back agreeing to a further 12-months in West London.
The 31-year-old had been linked with a move abroad with the Bosman Rule coming into play, but it looks as though those reports have now been rubbished with a new deal being signed.
According to the reports, Ivanovic will officially sign the deal next month.
