Pogba, 21, left Old Trafford back in 2012 to Juventus for a free transfer, and has since become one of the world’s best midfielders.

His impressive performances last season, including his shining World Cup display, gave him a deserved place in the 23-man shortlist for the Balllon d’Or award and also earned him the prize of the  Best Young Player in Brazil.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League for the past months, with Manchester United and Chelsea believed to be the most interested. And it is understood that Pogba now wants a move to a more competitive league.

Chelsea and United have both been told by Italian champions Juventus that they will have to pay at least £55 million for the French international, but it is now known that it will take a fee more around the region of £70 to add the midfielder to their respecitve squads.
