Chelsea have begun formal talks with Atletico Madrid regarding the sale of midfield-star Koke.
The Spaniard has been strongly linked with a move to England since last Summer, when he was linked with a move to Manchester United, but later in the window, Chelsea declared their interest in the midfielder.
However, after already losing Filipe Luis and Diego Costa to The Blues, Atletico issues a hands-off warning to Jose Mourinho and refused to sell another one of their key stars.
Despite being told he’s not for sale, Chelsea continued to express their interest in the January transfer window, and now according to reports in Italy, official talks between the two clubs have resumed.
The 23-year-old isn’t expected to be a cheap signing for Mourinho as Atletico look to earn over £40million for the midfield-man.
