Ezequiel Lavezzi and Alex Teixeira both unlikely to move this window

Chelsea have been dealt a double transfer blow with the news that Ezequiel Lavezzi is unlikely to leave Paris Saint-Germain this window, and Alex Teixeira has suffered a hamstring injury.

The Blues were heavily expected to land both players this month, with talks with both clubs underway and meetings with representatives held.

However, sources have claimed PSG do not want to sell Lavezzi this window, despite facing the likelihood of losing him on a free in the summer.

Double Blow

PSG officials are desperate to keep hold of him for the Champions League knockout stages, and that is why they are not ready to sell him this window.

As for Teixeira, he sustained a hamstring injury during training, which means he could be out for a few weeks, meaning he would be unable to complete a transfer away.

It’s looking more and more likely that Chelsea won’t be making any additions this window apart from Alexandre Pato from Corinthians.
