Chelsea favourites to lure Wayne Rooney from Old Trafford

Chelsea have been made surprising favourites to seal the transfer of Manchester United and England captain Wayne Rooney from The Red Devil’s.

Sky Bet have put Chelsea at the odds of 7/1 to bring England’s all time record goalscorer down to London from the North-West.

Rooney has experienced a dismal start to the season, scoring just two goals in the Premier League.

But that hasn’t stopped Europe’s elite clubs from linking themselves with moves for the England skipper.

While Chelsea lead the race, his former club Everton, French champions Paris Saint-Germain, and North London duo Arsenal and Tottenham are also interested in the striker.

Despite Chelsea’s impressive odds to sign the 30-year-old, it’s worth noting that Rooney remaining at United is the most likely outcome at 1/5.
