Blues won’t give up in chase for Everton star

Chelsea are set to renew their interest in Everton defender John Stones.

The Blues were heavily linked with signing the Toffees centre-back over the summer, but on several occasions, they had their formal bids turned down by Roberto Martinez.

If reports are to be believed, Chelsea went as high as £40million over the summer break for the centre-back, and despite having three bids turned down, they are set to renew their interest this summer.

With John Terry leaving the club and Kurt Zouma out injured for six months, the club are very limited with central defensive options, and Stones is still the man they want to sign.

Chelsea Desperate

According to reports, Chelsea officials are ready to throw everything at the deal and are prepared to offer youngsters of the club as part of the deal.

Chelsea will have to beat Manchester United, Manchester City and even FC Barcelona to Stones, but they are prepared to do whatever it takes to land him.

Everton value the defender at around £50m.
