Chelsea have reportedly begun negotiations over a potential transfer swoop for Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld as he looks no closer to signing a new contract with Spurs.
The Belgium international has been one of the top defenders in the Premier League since he first impressed in a spell on loan at Southampton in 2014/15.
the Sun report that he’s still not looking like penning a new deal with the north London outfit, while Fichajes claim Chelsea are already working on a deal to lure him to Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile Toby had a decent game against Real Madrid in the Champions League, a commanding performance, both on the ground and in the air, which limited Real’s number of clear chances. The Belgian made a particularly good block to stop an Isco shot.
Chelsea, however, were forced to fight back to earn a point from an eventful Champions League Group C game against Roma.
