Blues won’t hold permanent talks with Juventus in January

Chelsea have postponed transfer talks with Juventus regarding a permanent sale of Juan Cuadrado.

The Colombian international has been spending the season on-loan in Italy with the Serie A champions after failing to break into Jose Mourinho‘s first-team since arriving from Fiorentina.

Cuadrado was expected to turn his loan deal into a permanent one, with an announcement expected in January, but according to today’s reports, Chelsea have postponed the proposed talks.

Deal Already Agreed/Talks Postponed

It was thought the Blues would accept a bid worth around £15.8million for the winger, accepting a loss on him due to him failing to settle in the Premier League.

As part of the loan agreement, Juve can sign Cuadrado permanently, but it’s reported that Chelsea don’t want to hold the talks in January and have pushed it back until February instead.

It’s believed officials at Stamford Bridge only want to focus on incomings in January rather than player sales.
