Chelsea have been given the green light in an attempt to sign Atletico Madrid star Koke after Barcelona have reportedly pulled out of the race.
Koke, 23, has been watched by Chelsea for months and it now seems they are ready to go for a summer bid.
No details have yet been released as to why Barcelona are no longer interested in the player, just that they had also been monitoring him and were expected to go for a January bid once their transfer embargo was lifted but have recenlty decided against the move.
It is also reported that Atletico Madrid do not want to sell their star midfielder but with figures such as £44 million floating around, it seems they will have a difficult time refusing the sale.
