Gazzetta are claiming that the Atalanta midfielder will now have to be examined further before AC Milan decide whether or not they want to pursue a deal for him.
Kessie arrived for his medical with Milan this morning after agreeing on a €28 million deal to sign the Atalanta midfielder,
The youngster has had a breakthrough season in the Serie A, resulting in interest from both Chelsea and Manchester United this summer.
Roma were also thought to be interested, however, it now appears that AC Milan are looking to be a force in the Serie A having won the race to sign the midfielder.
It is still yet to be reported why Kessie failed the medical and how or if it will affect the deal, for now the deal is still on, however, it might allow Chelsea to monitor the situation further.
