Chelsea are leading the chase for Torino full-back Matteo Darmian.
Italian Darmian is also being targeted by Spanish giants Real Madrid, French side Paris St-Germain, and the Italian duo of Roma and Napoli.
It is thought a bid of £10m would be enough to acquire the services of Darmian, according to Tuttomercato.
The Blues are thought to be looking to provide cover to Branislav Ivanovic as they hunt a Premier League and Champions League double, to go with their Capital One Cup success.
They face a battle with some of Europe’s elite clubs for his signature, however.
Highly-rated Darmian has progressed through the Italian national set-up, before featuring in Cesare Prandelli’s World Cup squad last year.
He has drawn comparisons with legendary Italian full-back Antonio Cabrini, due to his tactical awareness, pace and stamina.
