Chelsea are targeting former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique to take over at Stamford Bridge next summer if current head coach Antonio Conte walks.

Chelsea are looking to bring in former Barcelona duo Luis Enrique and Juliano Belletti to take over at Stamford Bridge next season if Antonio Conte quits the club.

Recent reports have surfaced linking Conte with PSG, and he has been linked with a move away from the club after having voiced his frustration with the Chelsea board numerous times. Conte signed a new contract last summer which increased his pay but did not extend his stay, and his current contract only runs until next year.

The Daily Star now claim that Chelsea are looking at former Barcelona manager Enrique to take over as coach and current Barcelona ambassador and former Blues player Juliano Belletti to take the director of football role.

Enrique left Barcelona last summer and has been out of work since. He is reportedly the leading candidate for the job at the Blues.

While Brazilian right-back Belletti, 41, is highly regarded at Stamford Bridge. Belletti joined the Blues in 2007 from Barcelona and had three excellent seasons at Stamford Bridge.

It’s said that Blues owner Roman Abramovich has wanted Chelsea to play beautiful football in the vein of Barcelona for a long time but has yet to find a coach to emulate that playing style.

Chelsea have not appointed a new director of football since Michael Emanalo left his post earlier this season.
