Jose Mourinho wants reunion with Dutch star

Chelsea are ready to activate Wesley Sneijder’s release clause, according to reports.

The Blues are expected to be very busy in the January transfer window, with stars expected to leave and arrive as Jose Mourinho tries to rescue the club’s disastrous season.

Chelsea are currently 16th in the Premier League following just three wins in their opening 12 matches, and Mourinho is ready to make mass-changes in the New Year.

One player he’d like to see arrive at Stamford Bridge, is former-Inter Milan star, Sneijder.

Reunion

The duo worked together at the San Siro and the midfielder has made no secret about his desires to play under Mourinho once again before he retires.

According to reports in Turkey, where Sneijder currently plays, Chelsea could be prepared to activate the 31-year-old’s release clause, which stands at £14million.

Despite extending his Galatasaray contract in recent months, Sneijder could be tempted with a move to the Premier League in order to reunite with Mourinho.
