The Chelsea hiarachy have given the go ahead for Jose Mourinho to field a “2nd string” team in their Barclays Premier League game at Liverpool on Sunday.
Mourinho stated his plan following the Blues 0-0 draw against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday evening.
And with Chelsea looking out of the title race, Mourinho may field a weaker team, ahead of their second leg, at home to Atletico.
The team actually costs £98.2 million, and features first teamers who are unable to play in the second leg.
So here is Chelsea’s proposed second side.
Goalkeeper- Mak Schwarzer-free
Thomas Kalas-£5 million.
Branislav Ivanovic-£9 million.
Andreas Christensen- free
Nathan Ake- Undisclosed
Nemanja Matic-£21 million.
Jon Obi-Mikel-£16 million.
Frank Lampard-£11 million.
Mohammed Salah-£11 million.
Andre Schurrle-£18 million.
Demba Ba-£7 million.
What do you all think then?
