Manchester United and Chelsea are battling it out to get the signature of the highly rated youngster, Ross Barkley.

The 20-year old has recently stepped onto the scene with his dynamic runs and composure on the ball which, in turn, has seen him earn a huge £50 million price tag. But surely that’s too much for his age? I mean, he’s got bags of talent and 3 National caps under his belt, but making him the 10th most expensive player in the world would be a push, seeing as we’ve seen so little from him.

Nevertheless, his brilliant performances have sparked interest from the biggest clubs and it now looks like it’s a two horse race between United and Chelsea. The Red Devils are reportedly out in front with odds of 9/2 with the Chelsea odds at 14/1.

Most would rather see the Englishman make a move to United for a number of reasons. Firstly, Moyes has previously managed him at Everton and arguably made him a star. This would mean he would feel slightly more comfortable playing for such a monumental club. Moyes has tried and failed with the addition of previous acquaintance Fellaini in the summer.
