Santi Cazorla netted the Gunners’ fourth goal in a thrilling 4-1 win over Newcastle on Saturday night with a cheeky chipped penalty, but former Premier League shot-stopper Carlo Cudicini was left less than impressed.

The Spaniard neatly chipped the ball down the middle of the goal as Magpies’ young keeper Jak Alnwick dived to the right to claim his second of the match, adding to the two Giroud had scored earlier.

But Cudicini, who spent nine years at Chelsea before a four year stay at North London rivals Tottenham tweeted: “Well done Cazorla, 88th minute 3-1…very brave!! Would love to see it in a penalty that count. #notimpressed,”

The win sees the Gunners in sixth, three points ahead of Newcastle and just two points off top four.
