Louis Van Gaal is rumoured to be an admirer of the Brazilian defender and with Alves’ contract expiring in the summer, a deal for the Barcelona legend is a real possibility.
Alves’ agent, Dinorah Santana, has stated that they will not wait for Barcelona to offer a new deal and claims that Alves is on his way out of the Nou Camp.
Alves’ agent said “I interpret that silence to mean they don’t want Dani Alves, so we will begin searching for a new club.
“We won’t wait for Barcelona, they have to take the plunge.”
Sources in Spain are also reporting that Santana is on his way to Old Trafford to discuss a move but it is still unclear as to whether Barcelona will offer a new deal to stop Alves moving.
