Premier League trio dealt blow

The Brazilian defender has agreed a new deal with the Spanish club, ending speculation of a move to the Premier League.

Alves‘ current Barcelona contract expires at the end of the season but Spanish paper Marca have reported that he has agreed a new deal with the club.

It is reported that the right-back will earn £6.5m a year.

Premier League Blow

Alves has been heavily linked with moves to Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United, teams all keen to improve their defences.

The defender joined the Spanish giants back in 2008 and has since gone on to feature over 200 times for the club.

The Catalan side are on the verge of clinching the La Liga title, leading rivals Real Madrid by four points with two games to go.
