Angel Di Maria has reportedly told a close friend at Real Madrid that he regrets his transfer to Manchester United.
The Argentine international swapped La Liga for the Premier League last summer for around £59.7 million.
However, the playmaker has not been in the best of form since his move to Old Trafford. Spanish journalist Manolete Esteban claims Di Maria is not settled in England.
When speaking to Spanish television show La Goleada, Esteban said: “Di Maria has confessed to someone at Real Madrid that he regrets joining Manchester United.”
Despite these comments, Di Maria’s agent Jorge Mendes maintains that his client doesn’t regret his move from the Bernabeu to ‘one of the world’s best teams’.
French champions Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring the 27-year old’s situation.
