Want-away winger Angel Di Maria will head to England to hold talks with Manchester United, Sky Sports confirm.
The Argentine magician has been linked with United and French club Paris-Saint-Germain all summer, and has recently told Madrid that he would like to leave the club.
Now news has broke that Di Maria is all but set to become a Manchester United as early as the beginning of next week.
United are ‘very close’ to agreeing a fee in the region of £48-55 million with Madrid, with the winger to become The Red Devils’ new number 7.
It is understood that Di Maria is looking forward to working under Dutch boss Louis Van Gaal and sought after advice from former red Cristiano Ronaldo.
An official announcement is set to be released soon, with there being no chance whatsoever of the player staying in Spain.
Di Maria will send out a statement to all Madrid fans shortly detailing his reason on why he is to leave the club.
Van Gaal is said to be very excited at the prospect of signing the Argentine, and is exactly the player the new boss wants to sign.
