Arsenal defender, Johan Djourou, could be on his way out of Arsenal in January with Italian side, Napoli, the favourites to sign him according to the player’s agent.

The Swiss international was expected to leave in the summer transfer window, but a move never happened. Since the summer, the defender has only made two appearances for the north London side.

Djourou has been linked with a move to Italy before with Roma the club wanting his signature, but now it appears that Seria A rivals, Napoli, are interested in the defender.

His agent, Flavio Ferraria, said the following:

‘At the moment there has been no contact with Napoli and even with other Italian clubs,’ he told calciomercato.it.

‘No decision on his future has been taken yet, everything will be decided when we meet with Arsenal in the next few weeks.

‘At the moment there has been no contact with any club.’
