The Bundesliga club are in the market for a new striker as they have now decided to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal for £60million, plus bonuses.
Dortmund had demanded Olivier Giroud as part of that deal but the French striker has opted to stay in London. According to Bild, Dortmund have already secured a replacement in Batshuayi.
The report claims that the Belgium international will join the Bundesliga club on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 24-year-old scored twice in Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Newcastle United in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday, but after the match, Antonio Conte admitted that he was unsure if the striker would remain at Stamford Bridge.
“If the club decides to add another player, then, I don’t know if Michy wants to stay, or wants to go on loan,’ said the Italian. “In this case it would be a player decision, not my decision.”
