Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has insisted they will be relying on their previous experience when they take on Chelsea in the Premier League.

The Cherries who are currently sixth in the table are scheduled to travel to London to face an in form Chelsea. The home side has been pretty impressive as new manager Maurizio Sarri’s has earned plaudits for his attacking approach to the game.

It is going to be a daunting task for the Cherries but Howe does have a very enticing record against the Blues as he led his side to a famous 3-0 victory last time they visited the Stamford Bridge.

Howe is aware of the threat Chelsea pose and is drawing motivation from the past meetings. “Tactically, I thought we had a really good battle against Antonio Conte’s Chelsea team last year.

“But this is going to be a totally different game.

“A new season, new players, a new manager — so we need to draw on the past experience and use it as a confidence-builder.

“There are no guarantees that we are going to perform — it is up to us that we do.”
