Emmanuel Frimpong took to his official Twitter account yesterday claiming that Brendan Rodgers should bring him to Anfield as he could be their saviour.

The man that left Arsenal for League One side, Barnsley, in January, was then released by the club in the Summer and is now applying his trade in Russia, but he still believes he could be a great addition to Rodgers’ side.

The Reds lost 3-0 at Old Trafford yesterday lunch-time, and after the game, Frimpong urged Rodgers to sign him up.

After seeing Liverpool lose to United and get eliminated from the Champions League in midweek, Frimpong tweeted: “I honestly think Liverpool Need me … Hit me up on my email Brendan Frimpongforballondor@gmail.com”.

Clearly a bit of tongue-and-cheek in the tweet sent by the Ghanaian, but when times are tough, you can’t afford to be picky.
